The two Why's
Why does this product exist?
Because cooking is harder to learn than it should be. Complexity is a real issue.
There are way too many videos to watch, too many shows and influencers and sponsored brands. Too many super-specialized cookbooks with weird ingredients. Too many cookware brands and product lines to research. Too many "helpful" guides and product reviews. Way too many recipes, and just generally too much of everything. Infinite, overwhelming variety. This makes cooking seem very daunting to a new person. The complexity and amount of a research required to enter this space is way too high.
Because shopping for cookware is complicated and annoying.
The market is FULL of specialized gadgets which you don’t need, and endless varieties of every product. Just to buy a pan, your basic options are endless - Cast iron vs Enameled cast iron vs Stainless steel vs Carbon stainless steel vs Non-stick vs Ceramic, and each of those has further sub-categories and retail brands and sizes and colours and finishes. Some products are too cheap and badly made, and you should avoid them entirely, while others are too expensive because of a fancy brand name. But how do you know which ones? It’s really complicated to just know WHAT TO BUY. So rather than write a guide or make a video, we decided to solve the problem directly. We put all the best, most essential cooking tools in one box, and shipped it to your door. Simple.

A person wakes up one day and says to themself "Gee, this cooking thing, I should try it." But they have no tools and no skills, and so nowhere to start. And acquiring those cooking tools/skills is a long, complicated, annoying process, which usually takes years. So we decided to make a shortcut. Kitchen In A Box is an all-in-one cooking starter kit, meaning it gives you Skills and Tools together. We bundled all the best, most essential cooking tools together in one box, and then added the simplest, easiest cooking instructions ever. Everything you need (and nothing you don't) to start cooking, all in one box.
Don't make me run around to 12 different stores, and research a million brands, and try to understand the metalurgy of knife composition. Just solve my problem. I have no tool and no skills, and I can't cook, but I want to learn. KIAB solve that problem.
Why should I cook?
Because cooking is a basic life skill, which everyone can and should know.
And if you don’t know how to cook, you should really fix that. Don't let celebrity chefs and cooking shows give you the wrong impression. - cooking is quite ordinary and easy.
